Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) Certificate III

health services assistance assisting nursing work acute care This health services course is for people who want to work in health services assistance. You will learn about legal and ethical issues in healthcare, effective communication strategies, administration techniques, anatomy and physiology and occupational health and safety policy. A range of medical problems and related nursing care in acute care is also delivered within the course. There are 15 units of competency that must be successfully completed to achieve the qualification. Successful completion of this course offers the opportunity to work as an assistant in nursing in public and private acute care, aged care or health facilities. You may choose to undertake further study in order to pursue a career as a nurse or in medical management.
