transport distribution marine engineering engine class 2 This marine engineering course focuses on developing the practical skills and knowledge you need to perform the various specialised tasks of a Marine Engineer Class 2 on vessels over 750kW propulsion power. Hunter TAFE marine engineer courses will teach you to plan and schedule operations and organise safe maintenance and repair procedures. This program will teach you the skills to operate and maintain electrical machinery and electronic control and engine equipment. Jobs you may perform after completing this maritime class may include testing and detecting faults and repairing them. You will also learn to manage administration of the transport vessel including its business, legal and personnel aspects. Other outcomes of the course would include developing skills to perform routine tasks on board a vessel - boats or a ship - while ensuring safe work practices at sea or in port.
