Transport and Distribution (Marine Engine Driving - Grade 1)

transport distribution marine engine driving grade 1 This marine engine driving course is for people wanting to work as a Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 onboard a seagoing vessel where the main propulsion machinery does not exceed 1500kW. Students of this maritime training course will learn to take charge of machinery on board commercial vessels up to 750kW operating in Australian coastal and middle waters and/or up to 1500kW operating in restricted offshore waters. Evidence of a length of sea time/service on board a vessel will be required to obtain a Certificate of Competency from the NSW Maritime Authority. Career opportunities leading from completion of marine courses include Marine Engine Driver.
