Transport and Distribution (Marine Engine Driving - Grade 2)

transport distribution marine engine driving grade 2 Hunter TAFE offers transport and distribution courses for people seeking employment in transport and logistics. Enrol in this course to be able to work as a Marine Engine Driver on board commercial freight vessels with engines up to 500kW operating offshore and/or 750kW operating inshore. This shipping course will teach you to take charge of machinery aboard a seagoing vessel where the main propulsion machinery does not exceed 750kW. Evidence of sea time/service on board a vessel will be required to obtain a Certificate of Competency from the state regulatory authority. Experience in and knowledge of the transport and distribution industry offers a wide range of employment opportunities, with or without the completion of further transport courses. These include warehousing, technician, engineer, clerk, operator and officer roles.
