Transport and Distribution (Coastal Maritime Operations - Master Class 4)

transport distribution coastal maritime operations master class 4 Our Master Class 4 courses focus on developing the practical skills and knowledge required to work as a Master Class 4 / Skipper Grade 2. This maritime training will teach you how to take charge of the operations of a commercial vessel less than 80 metres in length operating up to 15 nautical miles from the coast and less than 35 metres in length, up to Australian coastal and middle waters (600 nautical miles). As a Skipper Grade 2 you can command licensed fishing vessels less than 80 metres in length operating up to 200 nautical miles from the coast and less than 35 metres in length, up to 600 nautical miles from the coast. Evidence of sea time/service on board a vessel will be required to obtain a certificate of competency from the state regulatory authority. If you are the type interested in a leading maritime career then after graduation you may continue gaining experience on larger vessels to progress to a Master 3 certificate of competency for foreign going vessels.
