
This nondestructive testing training program is for people working or seeking to work in the non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspection industry. Enrol in Hunter TAFE's flexibly delivered, professional non destructive testing courses to learn and apply the skills and practices required to test a variety of materials and welded structures, in accordance with both industry and Australian Standards. Using the latest technology, you will develop ultrasonic testing and inspection techniques and expand your engineering know-how. When you finish this NDT training, you may be eligible to enrol in further related TAFE courses. Completion of competency standards units from this non destructive testing training offers career progression under the Federal Metal and Engineering Industries Award.

Local Entry Requirements Although there are no formal entry requirements it is expected that students have at least year 10 competence in numeracy and literacy. Year 12 levels are preferred, however those who have been working in an engineering industry with year 10 equivalence are also welcomed. Delivery InformationCompetencies are taught through web-based on-line study for the theory content. Attendance at Newcastle is required for practical sessions (approximately every fourth Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm). Attendance is also required at Newcastle Campus for both theory and practical exams. Hours per week and course length are variable.
