polymer technology composites Hunter TAFE's polymer technology award is for people working in the plastics composites industry wanting to develop their skills to safely and effectively manufacture and repair composites and FRP components. Enrol in this advanced polymer course if you have already completed the lower level polymer courses and want to expand your understanding and practical knowledge of polymer technologies, plastic composites and related chemistry considerations. Our advanced technology resources will enable you to safely test composite/FRP materials and products in order to identify properties and repair faults. Using advanced technologies, you will also undertake major repairs to composite components, design and manufacture plugs and moulds, interpret engineering drawings to determine fibre type and resin systems and master advanced laminating techniques. Completion of this qualification offers career opportunities as a fabricator or mould maker in the composites/FRP, boatbuilding, swimming pool and manufacturing industries.
