woodmachining This wood machining course is for people wanting both the skills and industry recognition to work as a wood machinist. Enrol in this Certificate III level wood work course to study wood furniture engineering and design techniques and how best to apply them to your furniture making work.

You will learn the relevant industry procedures and legislative requirements including OH&S and environmental issues pertaining to the worksite. You will also develop and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to quality control and improvement processes.

Entry Requirements

NSW School Certificate (or equivalent) or the Certificate II in Sawmilling and Processing or equivalent. Prior experience in the woodmachining industry at production operator level highly recommended. Must be employed in, or have substantial access to, an operational woodmachining worksite while undertaking this course.
