This introductory hairdresser course gives students skills in the fundamental aspects of retail hairdressing. A wide range of hairdressing courses are available at Hunter TAFE, including short course and apprenticeship programs in different aspects of hairdressing, including colour therapy and cutting hair. Enrol in this course if you would like to gain skills that will help you get work as a hairdresser apprentice or as a beauty receptionist in a hairdressers salon. This course offers a variety of retail training, including important skills in workplace communication; retail training specific to a hairdressing business; occupational health and safety in a salon environment; and how to create an ongoing working relationship with clients.
