TAFE NSW Hunter Institute

Accounting Advanced Diploma

accounting This accounting course is tailored to people wanting to work as an accountant. Study accounting training to learn how to provide comprehensive business accounting and financial management services to businesses.

During your learning, you will acquire the skills needed to manage large and small business accounting divisions plus taxation management.

Training in accounting courses covers core industry competencies such as Australian taxation law, commercial law, basic accounting principles and BAS agent registration, which meets part of the educational component needed to become a tax agent as cited by the Tax and Practitioner's Board.

However, students are directed to check with the Board for complete registration requirements. A tax agent may prepare and produce a Business Activity Statement (BAS) for clients, prepare and/or lodge the appropriate form detailing a taxpayer's liabilities, obligations and entitlements, issue effective advice and customer service and provide client representation when liaising with the Commissioner.

This accountancy course could lead to a career as an accountant.
