Accounting courses at Hunter TAFE relate to company accounting positions and financial sector careers. Study TAFE accounting courses to provide effective business accounting and book keeping services to large and small business.
Tutorials and exams encompass activities such as how to prepare and produce a Business Activity Statement (BAS) for clients that may include preparing and/or lodging the appropriate form detailing a taxpayer's liabilities, obligations and entitlements, issuing effective advice and customer service and providing client representation when liaising with the Commissioner.
Please note this course currently meets the educational component needed to become a BAS agent as cited by the Tax and Practitioner's Board, but students are directed to check with the Board for complete registration requirements. On completion, you may be eligible for enrolment in further awards offered by TAFE.
A number of financial services career roles lead from the completion of accountancy courses.
