TAFE NSW Hunter Institute

Bookkeeping

bookkeeping Hunter TAFE's bookkeeping courses at Certificate IV level teach activities pertaining to bookkeeping jobs, including contract bookkeeper roles. Register for this bookkeeper course to learn the skills required to provide a range of basic bookkeeping and accounting services to a variety of businesses and industries. The tutorials will show you how to prepare and produce a Business Activity Statement (BAS) for clients that may include preparing and/or lodging the appropriate form detailing a taxpayer's liabilities, obligations and entitlements, issuing effective advice and customer service and providing client representation when liaising with the Commissioner. Please note this course currently meets the educational training component needed to become a BAS agent as cited by the Tax and Practitioner's Board, but students are directed to check with the Board for complete registration requirements. Career opportunities leading from book keeping courses include working as a book keeper within a business or independently.
