Engineering Advanced Diploma

Hunter TAFEThis course is for people aiming at employment in the metal and engineering industry in occupations at engineering associate level and carrying out tasks such as engineering design, engineering management and project management. 

You will gain compulsory competencies in organising and analysing information, interacting with computing technology and selecting engineering materials. You will also gain a range of elective competencies in areas relevant to your current or intended employment, such as CAD, drafting, quality assurance, engineering design, engineering management, and project management. 

The course duration will vary depending on the training pathway agreed to between you, your employer and the TAFE college.

We recommend that students either start at Certificate III (course 9285) or the Diploma (course 10386), since both these courses are embedded in the Advanced Diploma. However, the student still has the option of enrolling directly into the Advanced Diploma if they prefer.

Entry Requirements​

There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
However, it is recommended that the applicant have Diploma of Engineering - Technical, or a NSW Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).
It is also recommended that applicants are already employed, or seeking employment in the Metals and Engineering industry.
