computer lab Hunter TAFE offers software development courses for computer programming training specific to custom software development and design. Enrol in this course to learn about software development methodologies for commercial systems and project work for a company. Your education will cover skills required to respond to clients' needs and developing software that extends from solving a business problem, through to the implementation of the complete system. This course provides a natural progression into the Information Technology Advanced Diploma. After this course, you can expect to join the workforce as a software developer, applications developer/programmer, digital or games programmer, programmer/analyst, software architect or systems programmer.

This course is in an accelerated 6-month format for students who have completed 19010 CIV in Information Technology (Programming) from the ICA05 training package, or equivalent. This course may be replaced by the equivalent ICA11 course at enrolment time.

Delivery Information

This course contains a significant component of self-directed study in addition to class work. Students are expected to complete at least 12 hours in addition to class attendance. A major project must be completed.
